Room

Where can I proceed to a room reservation?

Who can book an apartment in Neighborwood?
The reservation for Neighborwood is available for BOSC students only, the portal will open in April 2023, you will receive information by end of March.
Which type of room can be booked by AP student?
AP students can book double rooms or single rooms in residence. Single rooms booking are subject to availibility.
Can I choose a specific room or apartment?
Yes, you can select the room according to availability. For information no map is available.
Is it mandatory for an AP student to stay on campus?
It’s not mandatory to stay on campus it’s recommended due the timeshedule
Can an AP student share a room with a BOSC student?
No, because the end dates and start dates of the contract are not the same.
What is the duration of the contract?
The contract has a duration of one semester depending on availability can be extended.
Can we book directly for a long period of time?
One month after your check in you will contacted by housing departement that will offer you to extend your reservation.
Can I choose with whom I share my room?
Mixity of genders is not possible in double rooms but is allowed in NeighborWood apartments.
Can I first book a room and then choose a roommate?
You must choose your roommate first and then you can choose you room.
If my friend with whom I would like to book is not available to connect to the portal can I do it for him/her?
No, in order to make a reservation, each student has to connect to the portal, so that they can find each other by created a group and then select a room.
I don't have a guarantor and I am not Swiss do I have priority?
Reservations are made on a first come first served basis.
When I have selected the room do I have to sign the contract?
Yes it's mandatory to have a confirm reservation.
I want to change my roommate is it possible?
As soon as the student have booked a room we won’t proceed to any room move.
I’m AP student my roommate is not coming anymore will I have a new roommate?
We will directly allocate you a new roommate that will match your profile.
Can I first book an apartment and then choose my roommates?
You will first have to find your roommates and then you can choose your apartment.
If you want to book a two-bedroom, 3 bedroom or 4 bedrooms?
Your group will have to be full for example for a 2 bedroom you will have to 2 students, for 3 bedroom you will have to 3 students etc...
What type of apartment is more available to book?
Three-bedroom apartment
Which apartment is least available?
Studio
If I have a single room in Residence can then I move to an apartment in Neighborwood?
This won’t be possible, if you are in the cancellation policy you can cancel your reservation free of charge and then book an apartment depending of the availability.
What is available in the double or single room in residence?
Here you will find on this link all the information by selected the room category you are interesting in.
I’m AP students can I check in before the first day of the intake?
No, it’s not possible you can only check in on your first day.
Can I deliver packages to the school before my arrival?
No, deliveries can only be organized to school after your check in at EHL.
I want to cancel my room or my parking what I should do?

What is the cancellation policy for a room?
The student shall have the right to withdraw from this appendix free of charge within five working days from the date on which he will have proceed to the reservation on line. After this period and up to six weeks before the start of the academic year, the student may withdraw from this appendix subject to payment of a lump sum of CHF 1,000 for early termination. In the event of termination by the student less than six weeks prior to the start of the academic year: The lump sum for the semester shall remain due in full if no other EHL student takes over the room under the same terms and conditions before the start of the academic year; The student shall remain liable for a lump sum amount of CHF 1,000 for termination if another EHL student takes over the room under the same terms and conditions before the start of the academic year. In the event of termination by the student during the academic semester, EHL shall retain the full lump sum for the semester. In this case, the student shall contact the Real Estate Office to confirm the exact date of his or her departure.

Parking

Which parking can I book if I book a room?
It will be based on your room location, the portal will only display your available option.
Which parking can I book if I don’t have a room?
You can choose an Indoor Parking, then you can park in North parking (route de Cojonnex) or South parking (route de berne)
Can I book a parking later?
Yes, you can but we will not guarantee the availability.
Can I book and cancel during the semester?
It’s not possible, below you will find the cancellation policy.
I don’t have yet my car information can I book a parking?
Yes you can, in the vehicle details please write "To be Confimed".
Parking Cancellation Policy:
Within 30 days of receipt of the invoice, the student shall pay the entire lump sum for the semester in accordance with the corresponding amount indicated in the pricing schedule provided in Appendix A. In the event the lump sum is not paid in accordance with the foregoing, the student will not be able to have the parking space. The object of the lease is for the exclusive and personal use of the student named on this contract. The contract is non-assignable and non-transferable. Furthermore, use of the parking space may not be transferred. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the availability of the parking space shall end immediately upon termination of the education contract by either party. No pro-rated reimbursement of the lump sum shall be granted for the current semester. EHL shall retain the entire lump-sum payment relating to a semester in progress. The parking space can be cancelled free of charge two weeks before the first day of the semester

When I’m on the first page of the portal what should I select?
To start your room reservation, select "Room/Parking Booking".
Depending on which year session you are you will see the correct term selector:
Ap students: AP Fall 2022 Bosc students: Bachelor Fall 2022 Crem Students: N/A for Fall MGH Students: MGH Fall 2022
Do you need a room?
If I need a room and parking or only a room select "A room with or Without Parking" If you only need a parking select "Just a parking" If I don’t need anything select "Nothing"
Do I have to validate the cancellation policy before booking a room?
Yes, you have to read the cancellation policy and tick the box "I have read and accept the cancellation policy"
Is it mandatory the create a roommate profile?
Yes, it is also if you know with who you want to share your room
How to find a roommate?
You will have 3 options: Add members by searching their details as you already know them Check your suggested roommates or search for your perfect roommate by profile You have a friend that has created a group so you just have to select Join Group
I'm not part of a group, which type of room can I book?
A Single Room in Residence 2 or a Studio in the Neighborwood Residence
